Contrary to what you will have seen on Twitter this week we are impartial to any future buyer of our club.
We will not be dragged into agendas and preferences from other entities of our fanbase who have a preference to one bidder. We can’t control who turns up at Carrington and we can’t control if somebody outside of the 58 decides to take pictures of our flag and tweet with their own agenda driven bedsheet.
Our main priority and focus, for all of us should be the removal of the current ownership who have brought our club to its knees following 18 years of greed and decay. That is all we have ever cared ensuring we have a club for future generations.
We do not agree with all the geo politicisation of football. Regulation and due diligence should be done by government and ruling bodies and they have failed us. This should not be down to our fanbase. We are all just football fans at the end of the day with a deep love for our club.
Whilst it’s understandable, we should give any new owner the benefit of the doubt and not taint them due to 18 years of neglect brought on by Glazer greed. So long as they are responsible owners and do the right thing by the club, our history and our fanbase. We cannot assess this until they are in place.
Finally, whilst we supported Sir Jim before the Liverpool protest, we stand by that decision. It was the first time in 17 years that any public figure with the means to buy our club had gone public. It was important we made a noise about that and supported it. We also pushed the mantra of United for Sale from this point along with Full Sale Only. A full sale includes the sale of ALL Glazer controlling shares in our club in whatever percentage that entails.
Yes, we attended Carrington today to push this message of Full Sale Only. We did not go there to show any support for any bidder.
They need to go and we will deal with whatever buyer comes along next based on what we have said above.
For you, for us, for each other.
