Today we launch the only true independent Manchester United Supporters Coalition
Fan Coalition 58
The Greatest Club in the World
NEEDS
the Greatest Fan Representation
in the World
This year we received an unprecedented mandate to represent our fanbase in matters of great importance. We are not going to let you down.
Whilst we closely monitor the potential for Sir Jim to remove the Glazers from the club, we will create the organisation to forcibly make it happen if that is necessary.
Currently everyone is in a state of limbo and it’s pragmatic to let things play out and run a natural course.
However, we see this as a window of opportunity and a lot of works been going on behind the scenes.
We have not been sitting idle.
Today we announce the creation of FC58 an alternative supporters collective and representation. A true independent fan coalition.
This will be the largest, active, passionate and independent fan coalition on the planet.
This is founded on our values, credibility and integrity we have built from nothing and doing the right thing for our club and fanbase, no matter what the consequences.
The demands of our supporters that are in the best interests of everything Sir Matt Busby created, will no longer be ignored, patronised or silenced.
This will be outlined in our Supporters Charter of what we stand for and represent, which hasn’t taken us 18 years to release.
Further details will be released outlining all the information over the comings weeks.
We have big plans. We have big ambitions. We will succeed.
Stay tuned and follow our new website for how you can get involved. We have active roles open for any area you are passionate about and want to represent. Have a look around our new site below and apply for any role you are passionate about.
That changes today.

It is now no secret that we met with senior officials at the club this week at the request of Omar Berrada as reported by all major news channels and journalists.
Four members of The 1958 met with senior officials at the club Collette Roche (Chief Operating Officer) and Rick McGagh (Director of Fan Engagement).
What was discussed:
- We briefly discussed ourselves and our drive for protests along with our desire, which will never change, that ownership change is needed. All amicable all understood.
- However, we also made it clear that we would be engaging directly with the club and not through any other intermediary.
- This is crucially important that engagement is on ours and fans terms and abstracted away from any other forces to keep it authentic.
- We discussed the need for true independent fan representation and why.
- We walked through Fan Coalition 58 provided an overview.
- We discussed the Fans Forum and FAB in some detail.
- We discussed, albeit briefly, the stadium regeneration project. We appreciate everyone is cynical that a decisions already been made and the survey is just a tick box exercise. However, we very much got the impression and informed that it hadn’t. We believe this to be the case after meeting face to face.
- It was a very positive and productive first meeting which ran for around 80 minutes. There were no awkward silences and it genuinely felt like the start of something that can align all levels of our great club.
We will always be transparent with fans about anything that is discussed or about to be discussed.
Have a look around the site and apply for any vacant roles and get involved in driving real change for us all.
We are incredibly excited to share this groundbreaking news with you.
Our supporters charter outlining our values and what we stand for is also on the site.
More announcements will be ongoing as we move into our next phase.
The clock is ticking …
There is work to be done.
